December is here and so is the cold, icy weather! Time to get out the deicer. The important thing to remember is to be prepared. When you get up to leave the house in the morning, allow yourself that extra bit of time to heat up the car and remove all ice that may jeopardize your visibility. It is vital that you have deicer and an ice scraper in your glove box. The icy roads can be hazardous so it is a good idea to drive with care. Unfortunately winter is a time where we do see a dramatic increase in vehicle accidents. Make a note of our 24hour 7 day a week help line and keep that in your car, if you are involved in an accident call us for free, no obligation advice.

Winter is definitely here and we are experiencing record rainfall in many parts of the UK. Consequently there has been an increase in car accidents. Surface water on the roads can cause many problems. Often if the flood is large, you can drive around and avoid the puddle, however sometimes the water cannot be seen clearly and this can result in the vehicle plaining across the road. Obviously extra care should be taken and driving more carefully and slowly can help to prevent any incidents. If you are involved in an accident because of the rain and floods, then you can claim back your vehicle damages and claim for personal injury if needs be. There are many ways to ensure that all your losses are recovered. Even if there was no other vehicle involved in the accident, and you simply lost control, then call us for help and advice. We will inform you of the best possible ways to deal with the problem and our service is free of charge.

If you are involved in an accident and the police get involved in the incident, this may be because a criminal act, such as hit and run may have occurred. If a registration number was taken, you can claim for personal injury and vehicle damages, if needed. The third party registration number, or the ‘at fault’ registration number is the key information that you will need in order to claim. The police keep this information on record and all witness details if there were any. Due to data protection, there are fairly strenuous rules and regulations you may have to go through in order to get the details back later on down the line. We always recommend that if you are in an accident, always try your best to keep records for yourself at home, as this does save lots of time and hassle. We cannot always get the information from the police on your behalf although we do try our best. Often the communication will have to be done in writing and you may have to receive the information in a letter posted to your home address. It is worth persevering. It may seem time consuming, but you are entitled to the information from the police, so you will get it, but they may make you jump through a few hoops first! In the long run, you will get significant compensation, so it is worthwhile.
YOU ARE ENTITLED TO YOUR ACCIDENT INFORMATION FROM THE POLICE.

You have the right to use whatever company you wish to claim for personal injury. The choice is entirely up to you. Insurance companies sell ‘Legal expense insurance’. They promise that it gets you ‘free legal representation’. However, many people do not realise that in fact you can get ‘free legal representation’ without paying for legal expense insurance. The added extra on your insurance is to be honest, not worth it. All you do is pay for a service that you can get free elsewhere. In essence when you pay for legal expense insurance, you are giving your insurer the right to refer your case to a solicitors and they take a fee for doing so. Effectively the insurance company makes money by selling you legal expenses. If you have opted for legal expenses, you can still use any company you choose. You definitely do not have to go through the firm your insurers appoint. In fact, we also advise against doing so, as independent legal representation is of utmost importance. If you already have a claim set up with us, it is far easier for you to continue with that, as the ball is already in motion. Also, you do not have to pay any fees or charges to us at all, so you benefit no further by changing firms and going to the other company. Complete Claim Solutions are industry experts and specialise in personal injury. You can trust that we’ll be able to take care of you and get you the result you need. Maximum compensation, 24hour support and you will not have to pay us a penny. Ultimately it is entirely your choice, however the legal expense insurance is over-rated by insurance companies. They will most probably give you a ‘sales pitch’, but they would, they want to make money and do not have your best interests in mind.
YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE. CLAIM THROUGH COMPLETE CLAIM SOLUTIONS FOR FREE, INDEPENDENT LEGAL REPRESENTATION.

Recently the claim against a three-year old child became a success and the victim was awarded compensation from the CICA, the Criminal Injury Compensation Authority. The incident occurred in the back of a stationary vehicle where the two children had been left. The three-year old child repeatedly struck the victim over the face and head with a car jack, leaving the child victim semi unconscious with excessive bleeding. The car jack was used in such force that it managed to crack the car windscreen. Originally it was ruled that the three-year-old attacker was too young to purposely injure another child and that there was no criminal intent. However, after perseverance and patience the case finally became a success and compensation was awarded a second time round. The attacker has since been taken into care and is being closely monitored by the social services. This case has set a precedent, and will inevitably attract more similar cases to come to light.

Some insurers do have a department and an option to claim direct to them for personal injury claims. This means that if you are involved in an accident and the ‘at fault’ driver was insured with Zurich for example, you can claim against them directly, instead of having legal representation for your personal injury. In our opinion, this is not a good idea and only leaves you will hassle, stress, less compensation than you are owed and potentially a completely biased service. When you claim directly, the insurer will ultimately try and save money by offering you far less compensation than you are actually entitled too. Also, when you claim for personal injury often you have to see a medical expert that documents the injuries. When you claim directly the insurer will appoint the medical expert. This means that chances are, the expert will be biased towards the insurer and not have your best interests in mind. Insurers will always attempt to pay out as little as possible, and without legal representation you don’t really have a leg to stand on. Insurers will always recommend claiming through them directly so they can pay you less, and so they will not have to pay the legal fees. When you claim through us at Complete Claim Solutions we are not biased and will always work to get you the maximum compensation as quickly as possible. We do not charge any fees, ever, so you really have everything to lose and nothing to gain by claiming direct to an insurer, as opposed to us at Complete Claim Solutions.
NEVER CLAIM DIRECTLY TO AN INSURER. YOU WILL END UP WITH LESS COMPENSATION THAN YOU ARE OWED AND LOTS OF STRESS AND HASSLE.

Yes it is legal, however we do not agree that this should be done. Some compensation firms still take deductions from their client’s compensation settlements. At Complete Claim Solutions we never, ever do this. All of our clients always receive 100% of their compensation and never have to pay us any fees or charges, under any circumstances. The insurance company that is responsible for the accident pays for the costs involved. It is always important that you check before signing an agreement that no deductions will be made from your compensation. If you are set up on a ‘No Win No Fee Agreement’ then you will never have to pay any fees or charges but you still have to check about compensation cuts. The ‘No Win No Fee Agreement’ is your protection against any fees and once you are set up on this you will not incur any charges. Complete Claim Solutions never take a penny from any of our clients. You are our number one priority and there really is no hidden catches when you come to Complete Claim Solutions. Unfortunately this cannot always be said for other firms.
CALL COMPLETE CLAIM SOLUTIONS FOR DETAILS. WE NEVER TAKE DEDUCTIONS FROM YOUR COMPENSATION AND YOU NEVER PAY ANY FEES OR CHARGES.
